The St. Raymond Nonnatus Foundation

Our foundation is now in its fourth year of existence since our initial formation back in 2015. Since that time we are blessed to be doing the Lord's work ministering to families and individuals through the Mercedarian charism. This charism is special as we take seriously the fourth vow of the Order which is to "give our lives for those in danger of losing their faith". In today's climate with its many changes which affect the family unit, the foundation needs your prayers to continue this mission. Our main mission is in bringing Christ and His healing presence to individuals and families who indeed may be in "danger of losing their faith" for the many reasons present in our world which lead people away from God's plan. Please pray for us!

Where We Have Been

Starting in 2015, our friars and the initial members of our board laid the ground work for our mission. Our board president and the others designed a plan through God's guidance regarding our mission to help individuals and families find our accompaniment and guidance. It was at that time that the initial idea to minister to "divorced Catholics" and those affected by divorce would be our first endeavor. It has been a blessing to make this outreach, and we continue on this journey to bring healing, retreats and support to these families and people in need of help.

The Present Time

We continue on this journey in our outreach to "divorced Catholics", but our mission has definitely expanded in recent months. We have been making more contacts, presented information and catechesis on marriage and family life. Our latest endeavor is learning more and participating in the "Remain in My Love" ministry through the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. We are excited for the future to help promote the beauty of marriage and of healthy family life in our own ministry.

The foundation is aware of and learning more about current changes in the technological world which help individuals and families obtain help with issues in categories such as Natural Family Planning, anti-pornography apps and information which helps couples have closer relationships. Other areas of help we are expanding on regarding marriage are communication issues, finances and resources to improve overall relationships.

Future

The "Formation" meetings for our friars are this summer, so we ask for your prayers for the Mercedarian Religious Order. Pray for all of our friars and all those they minister to. In addition, offer your prayers for the St. Raymond Nonnatus Foundation for Freedom, Family, and Faith as we continue our mission to offer God's love, support and prayers for all families and individuals in crisis and need our accompaniment. We also offer you our special prayers and humbly ask you to become a part of our mission by letting your friends and families know we exist. Thank you for your support!
